LARGE AFRICAN LEOPARD TORTOISE SHELL - (GEOCHELONE PARDALIS) TAXIDERMY -PERFECT

Description

Complete top and bottom rare blond shell of an adult male African Leopard Tortoise. Most African Leopards have very dark and light brown shells. This one is unique with a blond shell. There are no missing parts. The shell measures about 13"long, 8&1/4" at its widest part and 7" high.  The scutes are all there and in beautiful condition. There are some minor rough spots where the tortoise injured himself in his lifetime, but none of the rough spots are serious.  Scutes are the paper thin colorful part of the shell.  Beneath them is white bone of the tortoise.  I have given the shell a coat of polyurethane to prevent the scutes from falling off as they will as a shell gets older. This tortoise was very old died several  years ago and the cause was unknown. There is a bit of glare in my pictures, sorry this is the best I could do.
THE AFRICAN LEOPARD TORTOISE IS NOT A PROTECTED TORTOISE OR ENDANGERED SPECIES, DOES NOT VIOLATE ANY WILDLIFE LAWS NOR ANY EBAY'S RULES OR REGULATIONS.
The shell is large and will not fit in any flat rate box. It is heavy. It will weigh 4 pounds with box to mail.  Postage is accurate, there is no carrying charge.
