His "reins" are a string that runs through the turtle's mouth
I believe this figurine is made of ceramic and painted
There is a hole in the frog's back that appears to be sized for a taper candle (see fourth photo above)
Approximate dimensions: 5-1/4" x 4" x 4-1/8"
Heavy for its size, weighs about 13 ounces
No marks of origin
Pre-owned, no chips or cracks, excellent condition!
