    Description

Please also read the sales conditions at the
    bottom of this listing.
This is an Antique Russian Music Book of the Opera
    Eugen Onegin
published by P. Jurgenson in Moscow before the Russian Revolution
around 1914. The book is not dated by the publisher, but there is a 1914
WWI Russian Charity Stamp affixed on the front cover which could indicate
the date of issuance or first sale of this book. The book appears to be very
rare as I have not been able to find another one exactly like it.
The title of the book in Russian (on the title page):
    Евгенiй Онъгинъ
    Лирическiя Сцены
    Въ 3-хъ Дъйствiяхъ
    Тексть по Пушкину
    Музыка
    П. Чайковскаго.
Below the Russian Double Headed Eagle:
    собственность издателя
    П. Фргенсона въ Москвъ,
Коммиссiонера Придворной Пъвческой Капеллы, Императорскаго Русскаго
Музыкальнаго Общества и Консерваторiи въ Москвъ.
English translation of the above (used Google Translation):
    Eugene Onegin
    Lyric Scenes
    In 3 acts
    Text by Pushkin
    Music by
    P. Tchaikovsky
Below the Russian Double Headed Eagle:
    Property of the Publisher
    P. Jurgenson in Moscow
    Commissioner's Court Chapel, Russian Imperial
Musical Society and the Conservatory in Moscow
The Index of the book is written in Russian and German. The titles
of the Acts and Scenes are written in Russian and French. The descriptions
    and verses are in Russian.
This is a hardcover book. It measures 12 3/8" tall, 9 1/2" wide and 5/8" thick.
    It contains 147 pages.
On the blank page there's a handwritten inscription that I can only make out
the date as 20 July 1957. The book may have been given to someone on that date.
On top of the title page there's a signature of, I assume, the owner of the book. On
the bottom of the title page there's a purple stamp which I assume identifies the
bookstore that sold the book - hard to read for translation.
Included with the book is a hard cardboard slipcase for storage of the book; however,
it is not original to the book. It's from another book of about the same size. Not shown.
Please see the Item Specifics for the condition details of the book and look closely
at all the photos and judge for yourself. I can provide additional photos on request.
