Fresh rare find! This collection of 100 custom made 1930s magic lantern slides belonged to Isabel Hoopes of Newbury, Massachusetts. Isabel had a PHD in Herpetology and was a former director of the New England Museum of Natural History in Boston. The collection includes slides of turtles, snakes, frogs, toads and lizards. There are 100 slides with two being cracked. There is a hand written list identifying about 65 of the slides. The list was compiled by a science teacher who recused the slides from the town dump after Isabel's death. [Isabel's brother threw many of her possessions away]. I will be listing more of Isabel's things on Ebay shortly. Please view my photos and ask any questions.
